As you can read in our 2018 Impact Report and the note from Executive Director Tom VanWingerden, we are at an exciting place in the development of new curriculum at Friendship Ministries. To take the next step of faith, we are asking you to Walk TOGETHER with us!
What does this mean? In short, in the very near future we will present an exciting new way for you, your church, and your Friendship group to get involved in the next Bible study release.
In the last two years, God has blessed us to be able to complete 7 TOGETHER studies. These studies, just like our old Friendship curriculum, are accessible to people of ALL abilities. The TOGETHER studies pair multimedia tools—videos, dramas, sign language, music, symbols—with a two-track curriculum that can be used by a regular Friendship group or an inclusive small group. For Friendship Ministries, our primary goal has always been to foster a community where persons with and without intellectual disability can grow in faith together.
For over 35 years, we’ve trusted God to provide the funds for these accessible curriculum projects. He’s used relationships with churches and individual supporters like you to cover the production costs associated with each study. This means we have been able to charge groups a fraction of what we pay in development, thus keeping it affordable for churches of all sizes.
Now, we are getting ready to “take the next step” of faith—releasing another new study! However, we need your help to make it happen.
