Ministerio Amistad, the Spanish-speaking arm of Friendship Ministries, is growing! A new Amistad group is opening in partnership with Fundación Restaurando la Simiente (Restoring the Seed Foundation). Based in Bogota, Colombia, this foundation’s mission is to help the needy with the resources to support their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
According to their website, they “work on permanent strategies that facilitate the restoration of children and families at risk.” As one step towards this restoration, Restoring the Seed Foundation has a group for people with intellectual disabilities, members ranging from 6-25 years old. Ministerio Amistad has provided this program with our inclusive Bible study resources this spring for this new Amistad group so they, too, can fully immerse themselves into the word of God.
