You can help make church a place where people with intellectual disabilities can fully participate and share their gifts by supporting the work of Friendship Ministries. We recently heard a from a new Friendship group leader about a twenty-something member of their congregation. She used to sit in a corner in the nursery, and she hated going to church. But the Friendship group changed all that. Now she is excited to come to church, memorizes Bible verses, and wants to join the choir!

Many communities are still without Friendship groups; in others there are waiting lists to join. You can help change this by supporting the work Friendship Ministries does to help churches start and maintain ministries with people who have intellectual disabilities.
